"Energiegenossenschaft St. Märgen" - Open Day

| On July 13, the Energiegenossenschaft St. Märgen (Schwarzwald, DEU) opened its doors to the public. Approximately 150 visitors seized the opportunity to tour the cooperative's heating plant during an "Open House" event. The program was rounded out with refreshments, music, and a demonstration of an impressive 820 HP wood chipper.

During numerous guided tours, interested guests got a close look at the two KOHLBACH biomass systems. An initial 1,500 kW system has been in operation since 2013, with an additional 600 kW system added in 2024. Together, they reliably supply heat and electricity to 230 customers in the region.

The event also served to raise awareness about using biomass as a sustainable heat source. Many visitors were impressed by the cooperative model and described it as an ideal solution for community heating.

The Energiegenossenschaft St. Märgen also emphasized during the event that they are completely satisfied with the performance and reliability of both Kohlbach boilers and and thanked Kohlbach Systems GmbH for implementing this perfect technical solution and also for the professional cooperation.
